PureWiki is designed for rapid deployment. You can install it on your web host in just a few simple steps. No database configuration required.

1. Upload Your Files

First, download the latest PureWiki version and upload all the files to your web server (using FTP or your host's file manager).

2. Permissions: Let the Wiki Save Your Work

Because PureWiki saves your content directly as files, it needs permission to 'write' to specific folders on your host. Most hosting panels (like cPanel or Plesk) handle this automatically.

Required Access
Directories: Make sure your host gives the web server write-access to /pages, /config, and /cache. This is what allows you to save pages and settings.

3. Launch the Setup Wizard

Open your web browser and go to your wiki's URL (e.g., www.yourdomain.com). PureWiki will automatically detect that it's a new installation and show you the Setup Wizard.

Configuration:
Simply follow the instructions in the wizard. You'll set your Wiki Name and create your Admin account. Once finished, you're ready to start writing!
